It looked like it would rain but the weather held off and a nice paddle took place. Calm on the inside water and little choppy but fun water on the Ottawa River side.

A wonderful time was had by everyone that went on the trip to Gananoque. We visited some of the popular sites the sunken ship and Half Moon Bay. Stopped for a bite to eat and swim.
A few members made it out for a Canada Day paddle. Leaving from Ingleside and heading west on a really calm St. Lawrence river. Water was warm enough to enjoy a quick swim.
Shifting weather caused shifting start times. Because of the predicted 2 pm thunderstorms the start time was changed from 1 pm to 11:30 and then 12. Thanks to the warm welcome of a local resident some of the kayakers were able to abandon the waters when the storm picked up around 2 pm. When the weather was nice the kayaking was great. Hopefully better weather next week.
The 7 members of the club and a guest visited the Morris Island Conservation area today. Beautiful calm waters and great weather made for a wonderful day. Just east of Arnprior Ontario the area was packed with people getting out after weeks of confinement and great weather.
The results are in and the here are the results for the upcoming year.
Thank you to everyone who took part. Here's looking forward to a great 2020 kayaking season.
